Electrical upgrades across Geelong and the Surf Coast

Clements Electrics provides switchboard upgrades for homes and businesses in Jan Juc, Torquay and across the wider region. Your switchboard plays a central role in distributing electricity throughout your property, so it needs to be suitable for your current electrical requirements. Whether you are renovating, adding new electrical equipment or replacing an older switchboard, our trustworthy and punctual electricians provide practical advice, tidy workmanship and clean up when the job is complete.

Adding equipment with greater electrical requirements can be a good reason to have your existing switchboard assessed. This is particularly relevant when installing systems such as air conditioning or electric vehicle charging.

When should you consider a electrical switchboard upgrade or replacement?

Older switchboards may no longer be suitable for the electrical demands of a modern property. Renovations, additional appliances, air conditioning, EV chargers and other electrical upgrades can also change how much is required from your electrical system. An electrical switchboard upgrade gives your electrician an opportunity to assess the existing setup and determine what changes are needed to support the property’s electrical requirements.

A switchboard replacement may be recommended when the existing equipment is outdated or no longer appropriate for the property’s needs. Clements Electrics can inspect your existing switchboard and explain what work is required before completing the replacement. If you are planning other electrical improvements, it can also be useful to have the switchboard assessed early so any necessary upgrades can be considered as part of the wider project.

Electric panel and electrical box upgrades in Jan Juc, Torquay

You may also hear a switchboard upgrade described as an electric panel upgrade or electrical box upgrade. These terms generally refer to upgrading the equipment responsible for managing and distributing electricity through a property. Clements Electrics can assess your existing electrical infrastructure and recommend an appropriate approach based on the condition of the switchboard and your current electrical requirements.

If your current setup requires an electrical switchboard upgrade, we can coordinate the work with your broader electrical project rather than treating each component in isolation.
